Reds head coach Brendan Rodgers is known to currently be on the look-out for new players to bring to Merseyside this month in order to strengthen the club’s squad ahead of a renewed bid to finish the campaign in the top four of the league, and with it gain entry into next season’s Uefa Champions League for the first time since the 2009-10 campaign.

And it is understood that one player who the Northern Irishman is keen to snap up is Udinese’s Ghana international, with the versatile 23-year-old having also been tracked of late by the likes of both Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Agyemang-Badu, who has been with the Serie A outfit for the past three years, can operate either as a holding midfield player, or the 23-year-old can also play as a makeshift centre back too, making the Ghanaian an even more attractive proposition for the Reds to buy this month.

And after 77 games for Udinese since joining the club in January 2010, it is believed that Agyemang-Badu now wants to play in the Premier League.
