Bulgarian ace linked with White Hart Lane return.
Tottenham are ready to join local rivals Arsenal in pursuit of Fulham forward Dimitar Berbatov according to Sports Direct News.
White Hart Lane boss Tim Sherwood reportedly wants to welcome the Bulgarian back to the North London club he represented for two seasons prior to his £30.75m move to Man United in September 2008.
Sherwood may well feel his side could do with a further injection of attacking nous given that summer signings Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela have failed to impress and Jermain Defoe may be set to leave for pastures new.
Fortunately for Tottenham their Togo international forward Emmanuel Adebayor has hit a good run of form but Berbatov could offer more invention to the Spurs front-line.
Fulham are apparently ready to accept offers of just £2m for a player they know they could see leave Craven Cottage for nothing in the summer.
Berbatov struggled for form at the beginning of the season but has scored in each of his last three appearances and managed a very laudable total of 15 Premier League goals in his first season at the West London club.
