AS Monaco Target Blackpool Starlet Tom Ince

Ligue 1 side keen on England Under 21 international.

Check in to Blackpool vs Middlesbrough

Big spenders AS Monaco are looking to pick up a bargain by targeting soon to be out of contract Blackpool starlet Tom Ince according to the Daily Mirror.

The England Under 21 international has no shortage of suitors but will look to finish the current campaign with Championship side Blackpool, leaving him free to leave and pursue a move that will no doubt include a lucrative pay-day on the grounds that he would only cost a nominal compensation fee to move to another English club and next to nothing for moving abroad.

Swansea City and Ajax are also keen on the 21 year old winger, who last term finished as the top assist maker in the Championship whilst also weighing in with 18 goals.

One imagines the only way Blackpool, managed by Tom’s dad Paul, would have any hope of convincing the former Liverpool man to stay would be if they managed to secure a return to the Premier League but that seems unlikely.

Blackpool currently sit in 12th place in the table, though are just four points from the play-offs at present.

The Tangerines turned down an £8m bid from Cardiff City last summer and a move to Ligue 1 side AS Monaco becomes all the more tempting if Claudio Ranieri’s side have secured a Champions League berth for next term.
