Check in to Cardiff City vs West Ham United

Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified Newcastle United’s Steven Taylor as one of his priority targets for the January transfer window according to the Daily Mail.

The newly installed Bluebirds boss is keen to make use of funds made available by owner Vincent Tan and may well feel his defence is in need of strengthening this month.

The Welsh side has conceded 32 goals this term, only three teams have conceded more, and Magpies star Taylor has been used in a limited role by Alan Pardew this term and could be tempted by a fresh challenge.

The 27 year old is into his 11th season at St James’ Park but has started just one Premier League fixture this term and could be a very useful, cost effective addition to the Cardiff City squad.

Solskjaer also continues to pursue Man United winger Wilfried Zaha though David Moyes may not be willing to loan out the England man.
