Exclusive: Chelsea Hope to Raise £100m as Jose Mourinho Prepares to Offload 12 In Major Squad Overhaul

Mourinho’s willingness to sell loaned out keeper Thibaut Courtois stems from his readiness to stick with Czech Republic keeper Petr Cech and Abramovich does not wish to loan out the young custodian to Atletico Madrid for yet another season long loan spell and the Vicente Calderon side have been given first refusal for the 21 year old.

Attacking midfielder De Bruyne is destined to move to Wolfsburg, with the Bundesliga side edging nearer to meeting Chelsea’s £20m asking price. Jose Mourinho’s search for fresh striking options will see 20 year old striker Lukaku made available for sale, though tellingly the West London side will not sell to domestic rivals, which could mean high-flying Everton may not be able to make their temporary signing a permanent one.

Veteran left-back Ashley Cole will not be offered a new deal and Chelsea will be happy to have the England man’s big wages wiped off the balance sheet. The 33 year old has fallen out of favour in recent months and could well be on his way to Real Madrid, with former Stamford Bridge boss Carlo Ancelotti said to be interested in acquiring the wide-man.

Midfielder Michael Essien will also be on his way and could be loaned out for the remainder of the current season or sold outright with no shortage of offers coming in for the Ghana international with a number of Ligue 1 sides looking to land the tough tackler.
