West Ham striker Carlton Cole isn’t exactly known for his cool head in front of goal… and this might explain his brain freeze.
Football is a notoriously tough sport on the body, with some players playing upwards of 70 matches per season.
West Ham United have utilised modern technology to help their squad get back to their best for the next game.
The Hammers’ cryotherapy chamber is an even more extreme piece of kit than the ice bath, now a staple in muscle recovery.
Below are images of Carlton Cole and Mark Noble using the -135 degrees Celsius chamber, wearing only a hat, mask and their underwear.
