Kagawa’s signing was heralded as a masterstroke by the footballing world, but in reality it has been a disaster from the start. Sometimes a moment of fleeting brilliance will offer United fans hope that he is not a lost cause, but those moments are too few and far between and it is looking more and more unlikely that he will be a hit at the club.
Often linked with a return to the Bundesliga, he should consider making the move back in order to save his career (and his credibility) before he wastes away on the United bench.
