Tottenham have been offered the chance to boost their squad with Barcelona ready to loan out winger Isaac Cuenca to the North London side according to the Metro.

The 22 year old is surplus to requirements at the Nou Camp, with injuries and average form seeing the youngster slip down the club’s pecking order, and may be tempted by a move to the Premier League.

Cuenca was loaned out to Ajax last term but knee injuries curtailed the temporary spell and Tim Sherwood may feel the option of bringing in the Barcelona man would offer him added strength in depth.

Such a move could also help to re-ignite Cuenca’s career and perhaps act as a shop window for the former Spanish Under 21 international.

Sherwood may be in the market for attacking additions in January to help boost his sides push for a coveted Champions League berth.

The newly appointed Tottenham manager has done well since taking over from Andre Villas-Boas, collecting three wins and a draw from the four Premier League matches he has taken charge in.
