Argentine to step down at the end of the current campaign.

Check in to Levante UD vs FC Barcelona

Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino will apparently leave Barcelona in the summer after just one season in charge of the Nou Camp side according to El Chiringuito de Jugones.

Though the Argentine has guided the Catalan side to the top of La Liga and into the last 16 of the Champions League it appears that the former Newell’s Old Boys boss will leave when the current season comes to a close.

The 51 year old was ushered in by Barcelona in July last year after Tito Vilanova was forced to step down to due to illness, and has racked up 23 wins in 30 games in charge, losing just twice, but it appears he is ready to quit after failing to settle at the club.

Ajax boss Frank de Boer and Brazil national team boss Felipe Scolari are apparently leading the chase to replace Martino in the summer.
