The 20 year old Frenchman left Old Trafford 18 months ago when his contract came to a close paving the way to a move to Turin that cost the Serie A side a small compensation payment. The cost of bringing Pogba back to the Premier League club will cost infinitely more.

Pogba is apparently unsettled in Italy though his form on the field of play certainly wouldn’t indicate this to be the case with the battling midfielder becoming a crucial member of Antonio Conte’s side.

This source claims that Pogba is valued at around £30m and that United are ready to ‘bite the bullet’ and make just such an offer despite seeing the starlet leave for around £1.3m in the summer of 2012.

One can see why David Moyes would be keen to bring in fresh central midfield options given the fairly brittle options he currently has to select from.

Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher are both back from injury and illness and provide dogged determination in the middle of the park but the likes of Anderson, Tom Cleverley and new signing Marouane Fellaini have failed to impress this term.

Pogba has made 61 appearances for Juventus and helped the club to the Serie A title last term and is now a central part of Didier Dechamps French national team squad.
