The 26 year old attacker has started just two Serie A fixtures this term, the arrivals of Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez last summer limiting his involvement in Antonio Conte’s first team set-up, and a move to the Emirates Stadium may well tempt the pint sized forward.

Arsenal want to bring in the Juventus player to boost their attack with Arsene Wenger having to deal with injuries suffered by Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott which have left the Gunners once again relying heavily on Olivier Giroud.

Giovinco’s agent Claudio Pasqualin claims that Wenger wants to bring in his client, stating;

‘We have had contact with Arsenal,’

‘It was a request for information about his situation. There was nothing more [at the moment].’

It is thought that Wenger will seek to loan Giovinco until the end of the season which could perhaps offer the Turin based flair player the first team football he needs to secure a spot in Cesare Prandelli’s 2014 World Cup finals squad.
