Premier League strugglers Fulham have had a bid for coveted West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison rejected by the east London outfit, according to reports in the Guardian.

It is understood that the England Under-21 international would be keen to move to Craven Cottage in the January transfer window in order to once again be reunited with Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen, with the pair having previously worked together during their time at Manchester United.

And the Dutchman has now confirmed that the west Londoners have had an offer for Morrison turned down by the Hammers.

“Yes we did [make a bidf]. It got knocked back, it got rejected so we need to review it and move on,” said Meulensteen after Fulham’s 3-0 win over Norwich in the FA Cup.

“I left it with Alistair Mackintosh [the chief executive]. I’ve explained how I think about the situation so we’ll have to wait and seen what happens. I make my desires clear and then leave it with those people to deal with it. We will review it, because I don’t know the ins and outs about how it has been rejected.”
