The current Bundesliga and European champions are thought to be keen on adding depth to their defensive options and have been impressed by what they’ve seen of the 20-year-old so far this term.
Bayern’s talent scout, Michael Tarnat, a former Man City defender himself, played a key part in bringing Jerome Boateng to the club from City in the summer of 2011, and is now apparently already working on bringing the Serbian international to Bavaria.
Nastasic’s future was cast into doubt this week after manager Manuel Pellegrini admitted that the player’s omission from the squad to face Newcastle United was not down to injury concerns.
Pellegrini intimated that there are a number of other players ahead of him in the pecking order and with the title contenders currently in flying form the player will face a difficult battle to win his spot back.
The ex-Fiorentina man has featured only 13 times for the club so far this season across all competitions.
