CaughtOffside understands that Wenger is keen to bring in the Spanish pair as he sets about making significant changes to his options in the final third.

The North London club have scouted both Tello and Morata extensively and Wenger will look to tempt the duo into making a move to the Emirates Stadium with the promise of a better shot at securing regular first team football than at the Nou Camp and Bernabeu respectively.

22 year old Spanish international Tello currently has to battle the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Pedro, Cesc Fabregas and Neymar for a chance to support Lionel Messi in Gerard Martino’s attack but has thus failed to make in-roads into the Barcelona starting eleven.

In fact Tello’s first team outings have reduced since Martino’s arrival and the adaptable attacker has made just two La Liga starts this term.

The situation for Spanish Under 21 international hot-shot Morata is if anything even worse, with the forward seeing fellow youngster Jese Rodriguez force himself ahead in Carlo Ancelotti’s pecking order with Karim Benzema still very much the first choice central striking weapon.

Morata has made just one La Liga start this season but has managed to net three times, including most recently against Real Betis this weekend.

Wenger is ready to make room for the double addition by offloading Nicklas Bendtner, Park Chu-Young, Ryo Miyaichi and Joel Campbell, players who have either failed to impress or are as yet to earn a spot in the Arsenal first team set-up.

The Arsenal boss has been told to trim his squad and as part of such a move is willing to offload a number of those who have yet to force their way into his first team reckoning.

Arsene Wenger is also concerned with Lukas Podolski’s injury issues of late and could consider offers for the German next summer, dependent on how well he performs in the remainder of the current campaign.

Barcelona are thought to want at least £10m for Tello whilst Real Madrid will demand around £12m for Morata though of the pair he may prove the toughest nut to crack with the club’s board of the belief that the locally born forward has the potential to be a massive asset.
