Craven Cottage boss Rene Meulensteen has watched his side struggle for goals and is looking to freshen up his aging squad by mounting a £4m bid for England Under 21 international Ings, who has scored 21 goals in all competitions this season and is a player who would probably be tempted by a move to the Premier League.

Ings has helped Burnley mount a genuine push for promotion to the top tier but could opt for an instant move to the Premier League with a move to West London.

Fulham have loaned out Bryan Ruiz to PSV Eindhoven and the future of Dimitar Berbatov at the club seems uncertain and Ings could well offer the club a much need goal-scoring boost.
