The 28 year old Ivory Coast international has been a big hit since moving to Ligue 1 following a six season spell at Stamford Bridge but could be keen on a Premier League return.
White Hart Lane boss Tim Sherwood is hopeful of securing Kalou for a fee of just £3m which would surely represent a massive bargain for the North London club, who could certainly benefit from an additional attacking option.
With Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado failing to justify their respective massive transfer fees and Jermain Defoe’s imminent move to Toronto FC Tottenham would do well to bring in an effective striking option to boost the club’s push for a top four finish.
Kalou netted 60 goals for Chelsea prior to his move to Lille and has scored 22 goals in 57 appearances for the Stade Pierre-Mauroy side.
Lille are currently sat in third spot in Ligue 1 and as such could be keen to hold off on any sale of Kalou though the forward does apparently have a release clause in his contract and as such the French club may not be able to prevent his exit.
