Uruguayan is one of the most coveted forwards in the world at present.

The 26-year-0ld may have only been with the Ligue 1 champions since July after arriving in the French capital from Serie A outfit Napoli in a deal worth a staggering £54m, however, the word coming out of the Cavani camp is that the player has already grown disillusioned with life at the Parc des Princes.

And according to sources close to the Uruguay international, not only is the deadly striker unhappy with the poor standard of football on show in the French top flight, however, Cavani is also believed to currently be unimpressed with being made to always play second fiddle to PSG skipper and fellow forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic by the club’s head coach Laurent Blanc.

Blanc insists on utilising Cavani in a wide attacking position either side of the mercurial Sweden international which does not suit the marksman’s game or strengths in front of goal, and so now as a result he has informed the French giants of his intention to quit the club, opening the door for United to sign him this summer.
