Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has been linked with a number of high profile targets but has now finally completed a deal to add to his Upton Park squad by bringing in experienced Italian international Nocerino.

The 28 year old moved to the San Siro in the summer of 2011 following a successful spell at Palermo and has 15 caps to his name and may hope that a move to West Ham will aid his push for a place in Cesare Prandelli’s 2014 World Cup squad.

Nocerino has netted 12 goals in 71 Serie A appearances for AC Milan but has started just seven domestic league matches this term and seemingly a player newly appointed boss Clarence Seedorf was happy to loan out.

West Ham currently sit in the relegation zone having managed just four wins in 22 Premier League fixtures and Allardyce will hope that the addition of real quality could help their push out of the danger zone.
