Goodison Park side keen on Liberty Stadium favourite.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez is lining-up a bid to raid his former club Swansea City in pursuit of midfielder Leon Britton according to Sports Direct News.
The Toffees boss is keen to strengthen his midfield, no doubt aware that a move to sign loaned in star Gareth Barry on a permanent basis is unlikely, and is ready to offer £3.5m for 31 year old Liberty Stadium favourite.
Britton has made a total of 441 appearances for his Welsh side over the course of two spells at the club and may be open to a fresh challenge and a move to Goodison Park may tempt the pint sized central midfielder.
Martinez is keen to strengthen his squad as Everton challenge for a top four finish and given Swansea City’s poor run of form it seems likely that Britton would consider a move.
Swansea sit in 15th place in the Premier League table, just three points off the relegation zone having collected just one win in their last ten fixtures.
