Tottenham are reportedly on hot on the heels of two Serie A stars as technical director Franco Baldini arrives in Italy in pursuit of Inter Milan and Juventus talents according to Calcio24.

The White Hart Lane side are looking to strengthen their squad as they continue to push for a top four finish and Tim Sherwood will hope that Baldini returns from his trip with a pair of players who can greatly aid the North London club’s pursuit of a Champions League berth.

Baldini will look to land Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin and Juventus forward Mirko Vucinic, who coincidentally were linked in a swap deal between their respective Italian clubs earlier this month.

Though Sherwood has a number of central midfield options he may well feel that Colombian Guarin has more to offer than the players currently in his squad.

A move for Montenegro international Vucinic is to help boost Tottenham’s rather limp attack with the experienced forward having been forced out of Antonio Conte’s first team set-up by the summer arrivals of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.

With both Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado failing to live up to their price-tags and Jermain Defoe set for a move to MLS side Toronto FC there is certainly scope for a fresh striking option.
