The French giants have refused to back down in their pursuit of the 18-year-old despite him only recently signing his first professional deal with the defending Premier League champions back in October.

United have, though, knocked back the deal and reaffirmed their stance that he is not going anywhere, citing him as one of the game’s most exciting up and coming talents.

PSG are thought to be spearheading a list of top European clubs all hoping to take the player away from Old Trafford by taking advantage of David Moyes’ difficult first season in charge at the club, but they have been resoundly warned off and even saw a £14m bid for Newcastle United midfielder Yohann Cabaye fall flat.

United gave Januzaj a contract that reflected his enormous potential and though he would have been paid significantly more in the French capital, he spurned the chance to cross the Channel in order to stay at United and even rejected moves to Spain and Italy in the process.

However, PSG are looking to pile the pressure onto United at a time when they cannot be guaranteed a spot in next season’s Champions League.
