Etihad Stadium side to offer midfielder big incentive to run down Parc des Princes deal.
Man City will pay PSG midfielder Blaise Matuidi handsomely to run down his Parc des Princes contract ahead of a free transfer move to the Etihad Stadium according to Sports Direct News.
Boss Manuel Pellegrini is looking to bring in further central midfield options and has earmarked a move for the 26 year old French international and will offer Matuidi an astonishing £8m signing on fee as well as a weekly wage of in excess of £100k a week, an offer that may prove hard to turn down.
One imagines that Pellegrini will look to make room for yet another midfield option with the likes of Gareth Barry, Jack Rodwell and Javi Garcia perhaps seen as surplus to requirements.
Man City have used Fernandinho and Yaya Toure as first choice starters to great effect this term but Matuidi perhaps offers even more steel in the centre of the park.
Matuidi moved to PSG in July 2011 and has been a regular ever since, making 52 appearances in all competitions last term to help France’s capital club to a long awaited domestic title.
The midfield dynamo has continued to impress this term and is certainly a player boss Laurent Blanc would be keen to keep hold of, indeed interest from Man City may simply force PSG to offer the former Saint-Etienne man a lucrative new deal.
