Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Yevhen Konoplyanka according to Daily Mirror journalist David Anderson.

The Anfield side are set to pay €18m (£14.8m) for the Dnipro wide-man, who Brendan Rodgers will look to bring in before the transfer window closes on Friday night.

Brendan Rodgers has apparently been tracking the 24 year old Dnipro wide-man for months and was looking to sign the flair player last August after seeing his first choice target Willian move to Chelsea.

The Anfield boss is keen to strengthen his options in the final third and with Liverpool mounting a spirited push for a Champions League spot Rodgers may well win the race to land Yevhen Konoplyanka this week.

Konoplianka is a goal-scoring wide-man who would offer Rodgers a direct attacking weapon and is perhaps seen as a viable January addition in view of the lack of impact made by loaned in wide-man Victor Moses and recent signing Iago Aspas.

Konoplianka has scored 33 goals in 157 appearances for Dnipro, the club the fleet footed attacker has represented since the age of 16.
