Etihad Stadium side to bring in Primeira Liga duo.
Man City are reportedly set to complete a deal to sign FC Porto duo Eliaqium Mangala and Fernando according to Sports Direct News.
The Etihad Stadium side are said to be in advanced talks with the Primeira Liga side who are renowned for making massive profits from investments in relatively unknown commodities.
Though Manuel Pellegrini’s side sit top of the Premier League table it appears that the Chilean boss is keen to splash the cash and a move for 22 year old French centre-back Mangala will cost in excess of £32m, a move that would help to solidify Man City’s leaky defence, who have managed just two clean sheets in their last ten top tier fixtures.
Brazilian defensive midfielder Fernando had looked to be set to join either Liverpool or AC Milan but Man City are to tie down the 26 year old down to a pre-contract deal that would see the tough tackler move to the club on a free transfer when his contract comes to an end in the summer.
Porto have also asked for Man City teenager Marcos Lopes on loan until the end of the campaign as part of the overall deal.
