Serie A side keen on White Hart Lane battler.
Napoli have seen an official offer for Tottenham midfielder Etienne Capoue turned by the North London club according to the Guardian.
The Serie A side reportedly bid £8.25m for the 25 year old but the White Hart Lane side are looking to receive upwards of £11m for his services having only moved to Spurs last summer.
It’s fair to say that the tough tackler hasn’t had the most impressive of seasons and Tim Sherwood may feel he can afford to cash in on Capoue and seemingly German Lewis Holtby is also being made available for prospective suitors.
Capoue spent two months out with an ankle injury and Sherwood has more recently opted to use youngster Nabil Bentaleb as his ‘enforcer’ though the Napoli target did register his first Tottenham goal during last night’s 5-1 defeat at the hands of Man City.
Tottenham paid Toulouse £9m for Capoue last August and the French international has since started just six Premier League fixtures.
