The 26 year old Uruguayan has a £70m release clause though La Liga giants Real Madrid will look to offset such a mammoth fee by offering players to help cut the cash sum needed to land Suarez.
To that end boss Carlo Ancelotti is willing to offer young midfielder Isco whilst Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is said to favour Alvaro Morata, who could act as a like for like replacement for Suarez, should the Merseyside club have to entertain the notion of selling their prized asset.
Liverpool would ideally look to keep hold of Suarez but should Rodgers fail to secure a Champions League berth for next term then the chances of doing so diminish greatly.
Suarez has had an outstanding season thus far, netting an astonishing 23 goals in 18 Premier League appearances, helping Liverpool to cement their push for a top four finish.
Ancelotti no doubt sees Suarez as a preferable option to French forward Karim Benzema, who currently acts as Real Madrid’s central striking option.
