Check in to Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton
Dimitar Berbatov
The sultry Bulgarian is not everyone’s cup of tea but he comes with bags of ability and Premier League experience. The 32-year-old wanted out of Fulham, was keen to stay in London and was available for almost nothing. Doubtless Tim Sherwood had reservations over his temperament and commitment, but the former Spurs striker would have been a great alternative to Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor, once Jermain Defoe departs for MLS later this month. As it is, Tottenham are now injuries to their current senior strikers away from playing Harry Kane against the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea during their run-in. On deadline day, Berbatov signed for Monaco on loan until the end of the season.
