The French side showed a genuine interest in landing the 22-year-old during the January transfer window after Championship side Blackpool confirmed that he could spend the remainder of the season out on loan.
However, he opted to test himself in the Premier League by signing on with Crystal Palace instead.
Ince still faces an uncertain future at Bloomfield Road as his contract expires at the end of the season and it is unknown whether he will want to sign a new deal with the Seasiders after they recently fired his father, Paul. But there are a host of top Premier League clubs said to be sweet on bringing him on board and will keep an eye on his progress over the next four months.
But the England under-21 international is said to be interested in treading in his father’s footsteps by trying his luck at a move abroad, placing Monaco in pole position to snap him up.
Paul Ince spent some time with Inter Milan in the mid ’90s where he became something of a cult hero.
