This has left Arsenal as the most likely destination for the young German international with Allianz Arena boss Pep Guardiola targeting Hazard instead.
The Belgian international has been Jose Mourinho’s most consistent attacking weapon this term, displaying form that forced Juan Mata to warm the bench before heading for Man United last month, with the 23 year old currently being the Blues leading goal-scorer and assist-maker this term.
Hazard would appear to be enjoying life under Mourinho and it’s highly unlikely that the Portuguese manager would entertain the loss of the pint sized youngster.
Guardiola is also said to be tracking Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez, who could prove an easier target to secure.
Chelsea paid £32m to sign Hazard back in June 2012 and the former Lille man has racked up 26 goals and 26 assists in 94 appearances for the Premier League club.
