The coveted France international is currently being chased by a whole host of big-name clubs across the Continent, including the likes of Premier League outfits Manchester United and Manchester City too.

In fact, City tried desperately to sign the centre back in the January transfer window, only to abandon plans for a double £50m bid for both Mangala and Porto holding midfielder Fernando in the final hours on transfer deadline day.

However, both Premier League sides are expected to return to the Portuguese champions at the end of the season to sign the 22-year-old, whose contract at the Dragao runs until June 30 2016.

But now the powerful top-flight duo are set to face stiff competition for the player’s signature from both Ligue 1 teams, especially as PSG and Monaco have already made contact with Porto to express their respective interest in Mangala.

And by being able to meet the Portuguese giants’ mammoth asking price for the Frenchman, and offering the youngster the chance to return home, the two Ligue 1 outfits are said to be confident of landing Mangala this summer.
