Sakho has been in great form in front of goal so far this campaign for the Ligue 2 outfit, with the 24-year-old having managed to register an impressive 12 goals and three assists in total in his 21 league outings for the club.

And it is those kind of attacking numbers that have reportedly been attracting the attentions of a whole host of clubs from across the Continent in the striker, with Metz academy chief Denis Schaeffer recently revealing that: “Every game, there are around 15 international clubs who come to the matches to see him. English clubs are here.

“I’m happy he’ll stay until the end of the season. Then it will be difficult for us to keep him.

“I hope his future will be at a very important club, like [former Metz academy product] Papiss Cisse, who plays now at Newcastle.”
