The Netherlands international’s current deal at the Allianz Arena runs until June 30  2015 and the player’s representatives have been holding face-to-face discussions with the Bavarian giants recently about extending their client’s stay with the Uefa Champions League holders.

And now it is expected that Robben will shortly agree terms on a new bumper long-term deal that may even see the 30-year-old end his playing days with the club.

Robben has been a huge success with Munich since first arriving at Bayern from La Liga side Real Madrid in August 2009 for a transfer fee of 25m euros, with the winger having since won two league titles and the Uefa Champions League as well, with the Dutchman even scoring the winning goal against arch rivals Borussia Dortmund in last year’s final at Wembley Stadium.

In total, Robben has managed to find the back of the net on 82 occasions in 142 matches in all competitions since joining Bayern, including 52 strikes in 92 league outings for the club.
