Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has heaped praise upon his superstar winger Eden Hazard, after the Belgian flyer scored a fantastic hat-trick against Newcastle in the Premier League yesterday, BBC Sport reports.
The 22-year-old scored a hat-trick, as the Blues beat Newcastle 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, which sent them to the top of the Premier League.
“Hazard is the best young player in the world,” Mourinho told Match of the Day presenters.
Hazard, who arrived at Chelsea for a huge transfer fee 18 months ago, has been one of the best players in the league this season for the title contenders. His hat-trick took his domestic tally to 12, and he’s assisted five more for teammates as well.
Mourinho deploys the Belgian flyer down the left, but he is given licence to roam infield and shoot on goal with his devilish right foot. He is a wonderful dribbler, but has has the ability to pick out teammates with intricate, slick trough-balls in the final third. Hazard is Chelsea’s key attacking player, and has scored more league goals than all of Chelsea’s strikers put together, and if he continues in this excellent vein of form, the title is arguably the Blues to lose.
