The keeper, 23, is a massive 6ft 8in and was only brought to the high flying League Two outfit at the start of the season by head coach Paul Cook.

However, Cook now wants his No 2 keeper to be loaned out in order for the youngster to gain more valuable game time with another club, preferably a Premier League team.

Chapman, who only put pen to paper on a new two-year deal last week that now keeps him at the League Two leaders until June 30 2016, has already been sent out on loan to Conference Premier side Chester last month.

Meanwhile, it is understood that Championship side Bolton Wanderers have already run their over the goalkeeper, without following up their initial interest, and Liverpool’s fierce city rivals Everton also recently took the player on trail for a week.

And now it is believed that the Merseyside giants themselves are also about to allow Chapman to come to their Melwood training complex to train with them for a week too as the club decide whether or not to make a move for the player.
