Spaniard is currently spending a season-long loan spell in Naples.

Check in to Fulham vs Liverpool

Liverpool goalkeeper Jose Manuel Reina says that he has no plans at the moment to return to Anfield next season after his loan spell with Serie A outfit Napoli comes to an end, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The Spain international moved to the Southern Italian outfit at the beginning of this campaign on a season-long loan after Reds head coach Brendan Rodgers bought Simon Mignolet from Sunderland for £9m.

And with the Belgium shot stopper currently excelling between the sticks for the Merseyside giants, the prospects of Reina regaining his place as the Premier League side’s No 1 next season appear remote at best.

However, the 31-year-old has now told Spanish sports daily Marca: “I don’t know where I’ll be next year, but my plan is to enjoy this season and do a good job. Then I’ll have to go to Liverpool and make a decision.

“They have to explain to me what their intentions are, but I’m not currently up to speed on all of the possible offers which might come in, because that’s a job for my agent.

“My future is here, in Italy, and we’ll see what happens in June.”
