It appears PSG are taking a leaf out of the Barcelona book of ‘tapping-up’ by getting their players to directly appeal to prospective players to consider moves to the Parc des Princes, this despite no official bid being registered by the Ligue 1 side.

The Daily Express reports that PSG defender Thiago Silva is hopeful that Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard could pursue a move to the French capital, stating;

“It’s normal that a president discusses [transfers] with the players,” Silva told French paper L’Equipe.

“When there is a new name that comes out in the press, the president discusses it with us.

“Sometimes, I speak directly to Zlatan [Ibrahimovic]. It’s normal to ask ourselves if a player can make us us stronger.

“I would welcome [Hazard] with open arms, like we did with all our recruits.

“We need players like him to achieve our project and win everything. He is so strong tactically and technically. All the great players are welcome in Paris.”

Jose Mourinho will not be happy about PSG’s very public interest in Hazard but will be confident of keeping hold of the Belgian, who has had an excellent season thus far.

The 23 year old is Chelsea’s top Premier League goal scorer having netted a dozen times in 24 starts, the pint sized Blues favourite is also the West London club’s top assist maker, undoubtedly Mourinho’s most consistent attacking weapon.

Hazard’s form led in part to Juan Mata’s move to Man United and the manner in which the former Lille man has combined with Oscar, and Brazilian Willian, will have pleased Mourinho.
