The Bundesliga powerhouse are reportedly ready to go to battle with Juventus over Cuadrado’s signature this summer, and his arrival would mean that there would be an ever increased competition for a starting spot in what is already an extremely talented squad.

Shaqiri has struggled to nail down a regular starting role since joining the club from FC Basel in 2012, and the news has put Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool on red alert.

There were rumours that he was made available by the club during the January transfer window, but no such deal took place as he decided to stay with the Bavarians.

However, he is now thought to be one of the first names out the door should Cuadrado come in, and his availability would be an intriguing prospect to several top clubs across Europe.

The 22-year-old is still rated as one of the continents brightest talents and it wouldn’t take much persuading for an interested party to make a formal bid.
