A trio of Premier League giants are hoping to be able to steal exciting Dinamo Zagreb wonderkid Robert Muric right from under the noses of Eredivisie champions Ajax, according to reports in the Daily Express.

The highly rated Croatia Under-17 international has been making all the headlines back in his homeland of late, so much so that the likes of Premier League champions Manchester United, Uefa Europa League holders Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have all sent scouts to watch Muric in action first hand.

The problem, though, for those three top-flight sides is that Dutch heavweights Ajax have by all accounts already agreed a deal in principle to land the youngster, whose current contract with Zagreb now only runs until June 30 2014.

However, so far that move has yet to be ratified, meaning that the wide man is still very much a Zagreb player, and the Croatian club may opt to offload Muric elsewhere come the summer.

“Muric is wanted by many clubs – everybody wants him”, said Ajax technical director Marc Overmars.

“He really is a great talent and will be a free agent in the summer. But he is not yet ours.”
