Balo has made it clear that he will leave Italy at the end of the campaign.

Premier League giants Arsenal are interested in signing controversial AC Milan front man Mario Balotelli this summer after the Italian indicated his desire to leave San Siro at the end of the season, according to reports in French publication Lefigaro.

The mercurial Italy international has only been with the Rossoneri for just over a year now after Balotelli first arrived at the Serie A heavyweights from the then Premier League champions Manchester City in a transfer worth an initial €20m.

However, despite the forward having been a big success in front of goal for Milan, Balo has now decided that he wants to quit the club this summer and return to the Premier League, with Arsene Wenger’s high-flying team understood to be his most likely next port of call.

Not only has the 23-year-old reportedly become disillusioned with life in Italy after a number of unpleasant incidents involving racism, both on and off the field of play, during the past 12 months, but the once dominant Milan side of the past are currently languishing in an unfamiliar mid-table position in Serie A.

And as a result, the Italian now looks set for a stunning move to the Emirates this summer.
