Croat is definitely leaving the Champions League holders this summer.

Arsenal have suffered a blow in their long-running efforts to sign Bayern Munich front man Mario Mandzukic at the end of the season after it emerged that both Juventus and Wolfsburg are also interested in landing the Croatian this summer, according to reports on Italian football website Tuttosport.

The north London club had the purchase of the 27-year-old one of their top priorities for next season after head coach Arsene Wenger sent scouts over to the Allianz Arena on a numbers of occasions in this campaign to run their eye over the player.

And it is understood that the Gunners’ boss was extremely confident of being able to persuade Mandzukic to swap Bavaria for the Emirates this summer, that is until rival interest from across the Continent recently appeared in the Italian press.

As a result, it now appears as though the experienced French trainer will face stiff competition for the Croat’s signature this summer from both the Serie A champions and Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.

Mandzukic has a contract with Bayern that runs until June 30 2016, however, with the attacker having only been used as a bit-part player so far in this campaign by new Bayern boss Pep Guardiola, it is understood that the Bundesliga champions are happy to allow the marksman to leave the club at the end of the season, opening the door for a three-way fight for his signature.
