Emirates Stadium is guilty of something but we’re not sure what?

Last weekend Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud responded to speculation about his apparent liaison with ‘glamour model’ Celia Kay, apologizing publicly for his actions.
However the Daily Mail now states confirmation from Kay stating that the pair did not have sex.
One then has to ask, what was Giroud apologizing for?
By all accounts Kay, who has appeared in venerable magazines Maxim and FHM, arrived at the Four Seasons hotel in Canary Wharf, where the Arsenal players were staying ahead of their home encounter with Crystal Palace, at 12.50am and then left at 3am.
So this begs a few questions.
a) Why were Arsenal staying in a hotel ahead of a home match?
b) What did the pair get up to for two hours if it was not sexually related?
Kay goes on to state venomously
‘Olivier knows the truth and the fact that he lied about us is pathetic,’
Which leads us to ask, what ‘truth’ does Olivier know that he then lied about?
Perhaps a bit of late night scrabble?
We’re confused.
