City will be boosted by the return of midfielder Fernandinho to the side for the visit of Champions League favourites Barcelona on Tuesday night.
The Brazilian star missed City’s past three games with a muscle injury, but returned to training on Monday and is expected to play some part against the Spaniards.
However, striker Sergio Aguero is still missing with a hamstring complaint.
Barcelona will be able to count on Neymar featuring after he returned against Rayo Vallecano. He had been expected to miss the clash but he managed to get himself on the scoresheet after coming on from the bench.
Midfield maestro Xavi, who was rested for the game with Rayo, is likely to play from the start.
