Real Sociedad star Carlos Vela has rubbished claims that he is set to make a return to the English top flight this summer by insisting that he is more than happy with life at his current club, Sky Sports reports.

The Mexican international spent seven years on the books of Premier League title contenders Arsenal between 2005-12, but he failed to make an impression at the Emirates and was frequently shipped out on loan during his time there.

The 24-year-old eventually joined up with Sociedad on a permanent basis in the summer of 2012, and has been in startlingly good form this season, notching in 10 goals in 23 games in La Liga so far.

And as a result of his fine form speculation has risen linking him with a move back to England after the World Cup this year, but Vela has since sought to shrug off the claims by insisting that he is not interested as he is happy where he is now.

“I have no intention,” he told Televisa when asked if he could move to the Premier League at the end of the season.
