Tottenham Hotspur are said to be preparing an amazing swap deal with AC Milan that would see struggling Erik Lamela head back it Italy with bright young striker Stephan El Shaarawy heading the other way, according to Football Direct News.

Although Lamela only linked up with the north London outfit last summer, he has struggled to put together a regular run of games in the Premier League and has been tipped to make the return back to Italy at the end of the season.
The likes of Juventus and Inter Milan have both been credited with a significant interest in the 21-year-old, but Spurs are said to be keen on setting up a swap deal with Milan instead.
Spurs are said to be long time admirers of the young Italian international striker Stephan El Shaarawy, who himself has fallen out of favour at the San Siro this term thanks to a series of minor injuries, news that has led the White Heart Lane outfit to ponder a fresh approach for him.
However, it remains to be seen as to whether Milan would be interested in the deal, but Spurs big wigs Franco Baldini and Daniel Levy are both said to have opened preliminary discussions with the club.
