Inter Milan Open Talks With Manchester United Defender Patrice Evra

Frenchman has been at Old Trafford since 2006.

Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra could be about to follow his captain at Old Trafford Nemanja Vidic to Serie A giants Inter Milan at the end of this season, according to reports in the Daily Express.

The experienced France international’s current contract with the Premier League champions runs out on June 30 2014 and so the 32-year-old will be available to purchase on a Bosman-style free transfer.

And it is now thought more than likely that Evra will bring an end to his highly successful eight-year career at the Theatre of Dreams by leaving the north west this summer to try out one final challenge in his career, with the attacking full back known to have a number of interesting and lucrative offers on the table at present.

And while two of those offers are believed to be from the Ligue 1 duo of AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain, it is also understood that Evra met with Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio in London earlier this week in order to discuss a possible move to San Siro next season.

The Frenchman has so far managed to score one goal and create five others in his 26 league outings for United this season.
