The experienced Serbia international has been at Stamford Bridge for the past six years now and as such, the 30-year-old is considered to be one of the west London club’s most important players.

However, with the right back’s current contract with the Blues set to run out on June 30 2016, the versatile player and his representatives are due to sit down with the west Londoners shortly in order to begin talks about extending the centre back’s stay in the capital.

But the big-spending Ligue 1 champions are said to be waiting in the wings ready to pounce should those talks break down at any stage.

Ivanovic has managed to register an impressive three goals and two assists in total so far this season in his 36 matches in all competitions, including three strikes and one assist in his 26 Premier League outings, form that makes the attacking full back currently one of the most sought-after players in his position in the world.
