Reds boss Brendan Rodgers promised not to sign any Swansea players for a year after he swapped the Liberty Stadium for Anfield in June 2012 but the Northern Irishman promptly went back on the agreement by signing plyamker Joe Allen.

Rodgers is now ready to raid his former club again, with goalkeeper Vorm and left back Davies Liverpool targets.

Netherlands international Vorm has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most consistent ‘keepers since being signed by Rodgers from Utrecht in summer 2011.

The Reds are likely to be in need of a new goalkeeper in the summer after Rodgers made it clear Pepe Reina, who is currently on loan at Napoli, has no future on Merseyside.

Summer signing Simon Mignolet has been impressive but inconsistent, while back-up goalkeeper Brad Jones is unfancied.

Davies, meanwhile, is just 20 but has made the left back spot his own in South Wales.

Liverpool have also struggled at left back, with Jose Enrique having spent most of this season injured.
