Premier League giants Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been put on alert after the news that La Liga champions FC Barcelona are considering offloading both Alex Song and Dani Alves at the end of the season, according to reports in the Daily Express.

Cameroon international Song only moved to Camp Nou in the summer of 2012 from Arsenal in a deal worth £15m, however, it is fair to say that the holding midfielder has since struggled badly to win a regular starting place in the Catalans’ first team.

As a result, it is expected that the Premier League champions will now make a move for Song should Barca decide to push ahead with plans to sell the player this summer.

Meanwhile, there is expected to be far more interest in the services of Barcelona’s Brazil international right back if Alves is also made available to buy at the end of the campaign, with it believed that the Spaniards are now keen to cash in on the 30-year-old whose contract only runs until June 2015.
