Old Trafford striker ready to walk.

Man United striker Robin Van Persie is reportedly ready to quit Old Trafford according to the Metro.

The Dutchman is apparently not all that happy with life under boss David Moyes, this according to former player Ronald de Boer who has stated;

‘Robin feels that, unless there is investment in new, young, great players from other clubs, then he will move on,’

‘Van Persie wants to compete for trophies and everything this year looks out of sight.

‘It’s very disappointing for a player of his quality. I don’t think he’s enjoying the football United are playing.’

De Boer, who is manager of Ajax’s youth programme, is a good friend of Van Persie’s, and may well be a man ‘in the know’.

This source claims that Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal are keeping tabs on the 30 year old, who has suffered with fitness concerns this term.

Van Persie netted 30 goals in his first season at Man United, helping Sir Alex Ferguson to a Premier League title in his final season in charge, but things under Moyes have clearly taken their toll on many.

Man United are unlikely to be involved in Champions League action next term and that could well lead to the prolific forward considering his future.
