West Brom v Manchester United Odds : Enhanced 5/1 Van Persie to score anytime for Man Utd today

West Brom take on Manchester United in the lunchtime kickoff  knowing that they must improve if they are to maintain their Premiership status for another season.

Pepe Mel is coming under increasing pressure at the helm of the Baggies after a dismal run of form has seen the side drop alarmingly towards the foot of the table. With only one win in since mid November last season, West Brom fans are anxiously waiting for an improvement – and they may have to wait another week with the arrival of Manchester United.

David Moyes side will be eager to put their Greek disaster in the Champions League behind them – it was a game in which the Red Devils were battered from all corners of the media, however there’s little doubt that three points from the Midlands later today will be the perfect tonic.

A two goal victory in London against Crystal Palace in their last Premiership outing will have the side in good mood for their visit to the Hawthorns, and victory would keep United’s slim hopes of a Champions League playoff place alive.

Pepe Mel’s side are yet to keep a clean sheet so far this year, and it appears that that run is very likely to continue, considering Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie are both amongst the goals a the moment.

Van Persie, in particular looks to be coming back to his best, and certainly with four goals in his last give games in the Premiership, looks an outstanding bet at his enhanced price of 5/1 to find the net anytime.

Billy Jones will be missing in defence for the Baggies, he is out with a hamstring tear, while Nicolas Anelka begins his five match ban. Stephane Sessegnon could make a welcome return to the West Brom midfield.

For United, Javier Hernandez looks a doubt after picking up a knock playing for Mexico midweek, while Juan Mata should start after being cup tied against Olympiakos midweek.

United  have the firepower to simply outscore their struggling opponents today.
